The BOS3 is an IP-based system, requiring wired or wireless connectivity to perform all remote monitoring and control functions. (Connectivity may also be achieved through a 3G wireless option.) These communications are rapid, ranging from 10 milliseconds to 10 seconds per command. Each battery cell connects to Greensmith servers through secure, platform-independent web services to optimize complex and comprehensive relationships.
Furthermore, proprietary advances in intelligent control allow Greensmith’s Smart Storage Systems to interact with both advanced environments utilizing Smart Meters and the Smart Grid, and legacy environments not yet upgraded.
Front-end
The DESS Portal is a Web-based software for centrally managing large numbers of DESS devices remotely over the Internet.
Through a secure web-based user interface designed for either human interaction or automated machine-to-machine integration, the DESS Portal remotely manages one or many DESS systems through an event-based application with administrative configuration and reporting capabilities.
